Ski Area Granvalira
La Massana is a part of diverse ski area Vallnord. Three very different regions, however all connected in some way, await you here. They are called: Pal, offering a genuine atmosphere and wonderful descents through the woods; Arinsal, with it's beginner-friendly pistes, and since 2006 the more exposed ski area Arcalis. Pal is also known for it's mountain gastronomy, whereby the restaurants are often decked with wood and natural stones. Just behind Andorra La Vella a further gondola takes the visitors from the valley up to Pal. Vallnord has about 90 km of pistes to offer. Most of those are moderately difficult, but easy as well as difficult pistes are amply available. The modern equipment on the pistes allows about a third of these to be covered in artificial snow. Skiers therefore have the opportunity to chose from a variety of pistes even during less promising weather conditions.
