How does one best travel to Austria? Airports include Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, and Linz. Depending on your destination, Munich or Friedrichshafen (in Germany) or Zurich (in Switzerland) are also good options. In Austria, you will rarely find a train station in the resort, though you will find the nearest ones printed above the map, as well as the airports and their respective distances from the resort. Important: please inform yourself beforehand about winter closings of specific mountain passes. Also be sure that your car is winter-proofed and equipped with snow chains.
