The small, yet fine resort of Maurach is located at 950 m on the southern shore of Achensee. Snow enjoyment and relaxation are top priorities here. The village's rustic Tyrolean charm is very inviting and many restaurants provide for culinary enjoyment. Especially nice is is close proximity to the ski area. Guests can comfortably reach the Maurach ski area with the Rofan lift. A "flight" with the new sky glider "Airrofan" ensures an adrenaline rush; soar like an eagle over the Gschöllkopf, down 200 m at 85 km/h! Off-piste, guests can relax with sporty activities such as tobogganing, or take part on a romantic winter ride on noble horses. The Notburga art museum is also definitely worth a day trip.
