Ski Area Dachstein-West
Enjoy unforgettable hours on the best groomed piste in the Dachstein-West ski area. The lift pass for the region allows marvellous ski runs to areas including Karlkogel - Abtenau, Gosau, Russbach, Annaberg, Free Sports Arena Krippenstein Dachstein, Postalm, Feuerkogel - Ebensee, St. Martin am Tennengebirge and Lungötz, all interconnected by a free ski bus service. 103.5 varied kilometres of piste and 48 lifts make the area one of Austria's largest family areas. Modern snow cannons take care of snow security in the region. Practice lifts in the valley region also allow beginners easy access to the alpine winter sport. Russbach, approx. 12 km away from Abtenau, offers ideal access to the connecting area, ski region Dachstein-West. At your door is the small, fine ski area Karkogel which includes the challenging Alexandra-Meissnitzer route.
