On the border to South Tyrol, away from any stress, lies the sunny Hochpustertal valley. In the middle of the picturesque mountains, the three ski areas of Sillian, Kartitsch and Obertilliach present an awesome panorama view onto the Dolomites. A total of 61 kilometres of piste and 12 lifts affords especially families a lot of pleasure! The skiing centre of Alta Pusteria also has a lot in store for boarders, with a snow park covering an area of 50,000 m². Relaxation is also very important in Alta Pusteria: during a placid winter hike, a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride or the cosy retreat into one of the Tyrolean guesthouses, the day-to-day stress takes a back seat. Alta Pusteria - an oasis for body & soul
The endearing alpine village of Kartitsch lies nestled between the Dolomites and the Carnic Alps, in a side valley of the Alta Pusteria and at an altitude of 1,350 m. The Italian border is around 12 km away. Defined by its charm and cosiness, the small village of Kartitsch is the ideal location for families and those seeking relaxation. From the village centre you can easily reach the various ski areas with the free ski bus. Night skiing fans also have the opportunity to indulge in this passion. One special attraction of this village is the frozen Obstans waterfall, on which a fascinating ice-climbing venture can be partaken in.
