The impressive massifs of both Wilder and Zahmer Kaiser form the spectacular setting for the region of Kaiserwinkl with its winter sports resorts. The region which is directly on the border to Germany has recently developed into a true winter sport paradise. In total, 55 kilometres of piste provide an attractive range for skiers as well as snowboarders. The longest of these pistes measures 7 km and has a difference in altitude of over 1,000 m! Cross-country skiers will find all types of cross-country trails in the dense networks of tracks and across the frozen Walchsee.
