Ski Area Nassfeld-Hermagor
The Nassfeld ski arena offers an extraordinary selection of pistes: 110 kilometres of piste, 30 lifts, altitudes up to 2,020 m, and top snow reliability. Skiers and boarders of every ability level are sure to find the right piste! With the lift pass "Top Ski Kärnten/Osttirol", you'll have additional access to a full 858 km of piste and 312 lift systems up to 3,120 m. The new, 6 km long Millenium Express will whisk you the 12 km from the valley to the ski area Madritsche, the centre of the ski area. Those new to skiing would do best to begin on the beginner slopes near Sonnleitn or around the 'Sonnenalpe' and 'Tressdorfer Alm'. Experienced skiers can test their skills on the race stretch on the 'Troghöhe' or the moguls at 'Rastl'. One will finde great freeride areas in the 'Trogkofel' descent or also on the 'Rudnigsattel' descent. The longest piste is also the only possible valley run, and runs over 7.6 km from the Tröpolacher Alm into the valley. Boarders will face a tough decision between two snowparks - both with quarterpipes, tables, slides and jumps - located near Sonnenleitnbahn and the Garnitzenalm. The Watschinger Alm was host to the 2001 Junior Snowboard World Cup and the 2004 Snowboard World Cup races. Highlights here include the 200 m long half-pipe and the spectacular twinpipe!
