Neukirchen (856 m), the second-largest resort in Oberpinzgau, lies in front of the gorgeous Hohe Tauern backdrop at the foot of the Großvenediger Massif (3,674 m). In addition to the extensive cross-country track network, the diverse and family-friendly ski area attracts guests to the Wildkogel. An annual highlight is the Wildkogel-Longtrail in January, where about 60 dog sleds take off. Neukirchen am Großvenediger - excellent holiday experience!
Neukirchen am Großvenediger is an exquisite jewel in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The townscape, developed over centuries and very well maintained, has been distinguished several times - even internationally. Austria's highest mountains form a beautiful backdrop for the idyllically situated village, which offers its guests an inexhaustible source of treats. Holiday comfort, diverse sporting opportunities and a varied cultural programme ensure relaxation and entertainment. Winter hikes, tobogganing and horse-drawn sleigh rides are also a good opportunity to enjoy the wonderful, snowy winter landscape.
