Ski Area Rittisberg/Dachsteingletscher
With the lift pass ''Ski amadé,'' you have the choice between 5 ski regions, 860 km of piste, and 270 lifts (see ski region). The ski area of Ramsau am Dachstein - Rittisberg (1,600 m) and Dachstein glacier (2,700 m) - offers 28 km of varying pistes. The Rittisberg is particularly popular among beginner skiers and snowboarders due to its mostly easy to middle-difficult pistes. The Dachstein glacier has more pistes for advanced skiers. The 9-km long Edelgrieß ski route with 1,500 m difference in elevation is the most challenging descent on the glacier. A highlight is the intersection of the glacier with the Hallstätter See, with a 25-km long descent and incredible views. For the way back, ski busses are available three times a week between Hallstatt and Schladming. Snowboarders and pros alike will love the Atomic Dachstein Superpark on the glacier. Here you'll find a quarter pipe, slides, tables, and a 120-m long half pipe at the Hunerkogel slope.
