This original Tyrolean village (633 m) is surrounded by forests at the foot of the northern chain and located only 10 km from Innsbruck. The idyllic resort, where tradition is upheld, is not only home to Thaur nativity carvers, but is also known as Tyrol's largest vegetable garden. In particular through its cultural programme, the cosy village sets itself apart from the usual winter sports resorts.
