Culture Finland
Finland is known as the "home of Father Christmas". If you like, you can even pay him a visit in the Christmas village in Rovaniemi. The village is situated directly on the Arctic circle and is a favourite day trip destination among children in particular. Finish culture is influenced by western Europe and Russia. The people are very open and polite. You can visit countless theatres and museums in the cities, and art enthusiasts will get their money's worth in the Finish National Gallery, which is composed of four museums in the capital city of Helsinki. Music is also big in Finland. Several world-famous bands call this lovely country home, including "HIM", "The Rasmus" or "Lordi", which won the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. Finland doesn't leave any wish regarding culture left unfilled and combines modern music with antique art.
