skiing Le Grand Bornand - piste fun with tradition
La Clusaz lies in the middle of the Massif des Aravis, which rises up only 30 km south of Geneva. Skiers discovered and claimed this region for themselves more than 100 years ago. It's still very popular today, especially amongst young people and families. All in all, La Clusaz is made up of five ski regions. There's a good mix of gentle slopes, challenging mogul pistes and untouched deep snow slopes, meaning there is something for everyone. The majority of the 132 kilometres of pistes are intermediate, but the snow park and a well-rounded kid's programme make the region desirable for almost everyone. Cross-country skiers will find a satisfying wide-ranging trail network. Le Grand Bornand - piste fun with traditionThe small community of Le Grand Bornand lies at an altitude of 1,000 m in the La Clusaz region, at the foot of the Aravis Massif. The cosy town has been developed in the past few years, yet has still retained its original charm. The former farming village continues to enchant with its architecture. The modern buildings have been significantly influenced by past designs, creating a unique harmony between historical and modern architecture. This atmosphere also applies to the restaurants and bars, which complete the town. The awesome mountain landscape surrounding the small town is also impressive. The peaks of the Col des Annes, Pic du Jallouvre, Pointe Blanche and the Col de la Colombière are truly breathtaking.
