With 265 kilometres of pistes and 72 lifts, the Grand Massif is the fourth-largest ski area in the French Alps. Located north of Mont Blanc, it encompasses a whole mountainous massif with several ski areas. Due to its close proximity, you can frequently enjoy a fantastic view of the highest mountain in the Alps. The resorts that are part of the Grand Massif couldn't be more contrasting: from the traditional mountain village to the functionally planned ski station; it's all on offer here. The pristine winter sports resort Les Carroz d’Arâches is located in the heart of Haute-Savoie, between Genf and Chamonix. The typical Savoyard resort is situated on a high plateau right in the fantastic mountain landscape of Grand Massif (1,140 m). Due to the alpine architecture, the resort has a cosy, village flair. Les Carroz d’Arâches offers direct entry to the “Massif” ski area, with 145 kilometres of piste up to 2,200 m, and the expanded region “Grand Massif” with 265 kilometres of piste. The mainly easy to intermediate pistes run along steep slopes and now and again through tranquil forests. There is something for everyone here. A snow park is also available, and for the younger guests there is even a children’s jam park in Morillon. Numerous cosy bars and restaurants invite you to discover Savoyard cuisine and enjoy your evening.
