Ski Area Les Carroz
Grand Massif connects five ski resorts into one of the largest French ski regions. With 265 kilometres of piste from 700 - 2,500 m, no wish is left unfulfilled. The higher locations at Lac de Gers, Grandes Platières and Tête Pelouse are especially favoured by advanced skiers. Beginners can also discover the region on the easier blue pistes. A special treat is teh 14 km long run from Flaine down to Sixt Fer à Cheval, with a view of Mont Blanc and the nearby nature perserve. With a bit of luck, you can even see ice climbers demonstrating their skills on iced-over waterfalls. A challenge is teh 3.1 km long Diamant Noir, with an altitude difference of 890 m. Furthermore, three jump parks, prepared by a professional team three times daily, offer freeskiers and snowboarders abundent scope.
