Ski Area Val Cenis/Termignon
With the lift pass "Le Grand Val Cenis", you have access to a total of 125 km of prepared pistes and 26 lifts and gondolas in Val Cenis' and Termignon's ski area. Amongst this, there is a 6-person chair lift "La Turra" with which the connection to the Termignon ski area was enabled in 2008. This lift is one of the fastest chair lifts in Europe, meaning that waiting times are short! As the ski area is located on the northwest side of the Mont Cenis, it is highly snow-sure. The snow stays fresh for a long time, and in the afternoon you can enjoy the sun at one of the mountain huts. In the forest you can explore fascinating tree runs and off-piste you'll find interesting canyons and natural pipes. Some people have actually jumped from the roof of a snowed-in mountain hut. While experienced skiers get a thrill on the "Michèle Jacot de la Met" run (starting 2,800 m), the less advanced have a go on the longest beginners ski run in Europe – the "Escargot" (in English: "snail"). Enthusiasts will have fun in the two snow parks on different altitudes, including a boarder cross.
