Ski holidays Val Cenis – tradition, quality and perfect pistes!

Beneath an impressive mountain scenery, in the heart of the "La Vanoise", lies the village of Val Cenis. This historical area stands apart from many mass ski resorts; nevertheless, it offers the infrastructure of a modern ski holiday destination. Since 2008, the ski area of Val Cenis is connected to Termignon, coming to a total of 125 kilometres of piste, going up to a snow-sure 2,800 m, provide the ideal setting for a perfect ski circuit – including Europe's longest beginners' slope and thrilling black pistes. Our apartments are located directly on, or very close to, the piste and offer up to 5-sun comfort. Val Cenis – tradition, quality and perfect pistes!

Val Cenis lies in the heart of the Savoyard Alps and is geographically close to Val d'Isère and Val Thorens near the Italian border. The village is made up of the districts Lanslevillard and Lanslebourg, which are only 3 km apart. Val Cenis has a complete tourist infrastructure, including shops, supermarkets, doctors, cinemas and a disco. The two districts and the cable car station are connected by complimentary shuttle buses. There are several chair lifts into the ski areas of both Lanslevillard and Lanslebourg. Both districts have managed to retain the Savoyard charm. Friendly locals, picturesque lanes and exceptional French cuisine are just some of the typical features, which make Val Cenis an ideal destination for winter holidays.

You'll have a great time in Val Cenis! Whether an absolute beginner or an experienced professional, you will love it! The ski area includes approximatley 125 kilometres of prepared pistes on 56 runs with 27 gondolas and lifts – amongst those a brand new 6-person chair lift "La Turra" with which the connection to the Termignon ski area was enabled in 2008. This lift is one of the fastest chair lifts in Europe, meaning that waiting times are short! As the ski area is located on the northwest side of the Mont Cenis, it is highly snow-sure. The snow stays fresh for a long time, and in the afternoon you can enjoy the sun at one of the mountain huts. In the forest you can explore fascinating tree runs and off-piste you'll find interesting canyons and natural pipes. Some people have actually jumped from the roof of a snowed-in mountain hut. While experienced skiers get a thrill on the "Michèle Jacot de la Met" run (starting 2,800 m), the less advanced have a go on the longest beginners ski run in Europe – the "Escargot" (in English: "snail"). Enthusiasts will have fun in the two snow parks on different altitudes, including a boarder cross. In Val Cenis you can expect great skiing fun! Access to Val Thorens is also available for a surcharge .
