Ski area Großer Arber

The ski area "Arber" offers you access to 10 lovely kilometres of piste located all around one of the highest mountains in the German central mountain massif, the Große Arber. This child-friendly ski area is especially suitable for families. The little ones can take their time to practice their first swings in the "ArBär Kinderland". Here are magic carpets, a ski carousel and a flat, open space to get started on. Beginner and experts likewise will have fun on the most easy to intermediate pistes. But also the pros will find themselves entertained. Due to the fantastic snow conditions on the Arber this place has been the host for World Cup races for more than three decades. The 1 km long world cup run is challenge for everyone and lets you descend over 340 m of altitude difference. Whilst you can enjoy the lovely panoramic mountain view throughout the day, in the evenings you can enjoy a totally new experience on flood-lit pistes.

Après ski Lohberg

In Lohberg you will find more of the rather cosy après ski. You can enjoy local specialties in one of the typical guest houses. Whilst strolling through the wintery landscape you can let the day come to a relaxing end. Staying sporty can be done on the regularly and well-prepared Lohberg natural toboggan run with a length of 500 m. Or you can visit the approx. 60 km distant Deggendorf, which is well-known for its historical old part of the town and the remaining city wall. Also Lohberg is the ideal starting point for a detour to the Czech Republic, as it is only approx. 30 km to the boarder.

Snowpark: Snowpark Familien-Cross-Park Lohberg

The snowpark at Thurnhofhang measures up to the family-friendly ski area at Großer Arber. It is not a full-grown funpark, but a diverse family cross park with fun waves and little jumps for beginners and adventurous little ones. The marked area consists mainly of a Beginner's line with soft hills, little boxes and easy rails. There are is a separate kids area which belongs to ArBär children's area. This beginner's area is in eye-catching blue, and, for the safety of children, it is designed without any metal frames. Here are children's rails with a low height of 0.5 m maximum. The two separate areas make the Cross-Park a versatile terrain for young and old.
