Toblach is located at 1,242 m altitude at the entrance of the Höhlenstein valley and is a gateway to the Dolomites. The magnificent view of the the Tre Cime di Lavaredo ("the three peaks of Lavaredo") lends the resort the melodical name of "The Community of the Three Peaks". Toblach has a hunded-year tourist tradition behind it and is famous for holding cross-country world cup races.
