The winter sport resorts at Matterhorn are captivating with their magnificent location in the Italian Aosta Valley, at the south flank of the 4,478 m high massifs. Furthermore, the idyllic communities are situated directly on the Swiss border and thus surrounded by a trans-border ski area, which promises to meet all expectations with its diverse pistes. The Swiss resort of Zermatt, which is famous for its health resorts and wintersports, is easily reached on skis from the Italian holiday resorts, whereas travelling there by car takes a lot longer. Matterhorn has suitable destinations for all, be it a touristy holiday resort with lively après-ski or a child-friendly family resort. Cervinia, actually Breuil-Cervinia, can be found in the gorgeous area on the southern slope of the Matterhorn on the Italian side. This idyllic resort is situated at a height of 2,050 m and is surrounded by an amazing mountain backdrop. The original farmers' village first grew in the 1970's into what it is today: a cosy holiday resort with vast piste and leisure opportunities, which include something for everyone. The lifts begin on the outskirts of the resort and ensure swift access to ski paradise! Awaiting you in town are various gastronomic options which invite you to comfortably see out the day. In the evening, the discos "Etoile" and "Bianconiglio" lure you in to enjoy the après ski. Cervinia - winter sports between heaven and earth!

- Children between the ages of two and eight can enjoy themselves in the snow or in the three play parks. One is at the Plan Maison, run by the Breuil ski school, further two are in Breuil-Cervinia, run by the ski schools Cervino and Lino's.
