Courmayeur stretches from the south side of the highest European mountain massif, and is one of the oldest and and best-known winter sports regions in the Alps. Courmayeur, steeped in history, lies in a tri-border region on the Italian side and forms the northern end of the Aosta Valley at the foot of Mont Blanc's awesome mountain panorama. It is one of the oldest Italian spa resorts but has not lost its charm or forgotten its roots, despite the good connection to the Mont Blanc tunnel. | The Courmayeur ski area stretches its 36 kilometres of piste up to 2,624 m in altitude, surrounded by the highest peaks in Europe. It also impresses with its marvellous location in front of Mont Blanc's breathtaking high mountain panorama! Due to its location, as well as the glacier, the vast mountain range always has sufficient snow. The exposed position means that not only those wanting to savour the skiing experience, but also sun worshippers get their money's worth. The lift pass "Aostatal" presents you with 868 kilometres of piste, as it is valid in 23 ski areas, e.g. Cervinia, Valtournenche, Monterosa, Pila, Brusson or La Thuile. You definitely won't get bored here! |
