At the foot of the Kronplatz (2,275 m), in the centre of the picturesque Pustertal, are 14 diverse and attractive South Tyrolean villages. Modern gondolas start from various stations and speed up to the peak, from which imposing views unfold. Diverse sporting events take place here on a regular basis such as the 09 Winter Biathlon Worldcup, Pustertal Ski Marathons including the Gsiesertal run, the biggest sporting event in South Tyrol. 105 kilometres of piste, 31 modern lifts, a half-pipe, as well as ample recreational and sporting opportunities assure a good deal of fun for everyone! Antholz (Kronplatz)
Antholz (1,241 m) lies in the community of Rasen-Antholz and is well-known as the heart of biathlon world cups and cross-country sports but also offers something for downhill skiers and snowboarders. Pfalzen is a good 1,000 m high and is known for its beautiful, sunny location. A mix of Italien and Austrian cooking is also a treat. Rasen (1,303 m), a small town made up of the three districts Niederrasen, Oberrasen and Neunhäuser, is the entry to the beautiful Antholzer Valley in South Tyrol.
