The ski region Alta Vatellina includes, amongst others, the areas of Livigno, Bormio, Santa Caterina and Valdidentro. The ski paradise Livigno - Monte della Neve - Carosello offers 115 kilometres of piste and 31 lifts. With its perfectly prepared slopes spanning both sides of the resort, it is located in a protected basin not far from the Swiss border. Broad pistes, most of them located above the tree-line, ensure fantastic descents. The largest selection of pistes is located between Carosello 3000 and Vetta Blesaccia. Considering the close proximity to Switzerland, a day trip to St. Moritz can be highly recommended. The districts Bormio, Valdidentro and Santa Caterina include 100 kilometres of piste and 39 lifts. Due to the high altitude (1,225 m – 3,012 m) and several snow-making ensure a high level of snow and fun on a champion piste.
