Val di Fassa is located in the southwest part of the Dolomites in Trentino and borders on to South Tyrol. The idyllic valley is dominated by some of the most famous Dolomite peaks, such as the Catinaccio group (2,983 m), the Langkofel (3.181 m), the mighty Sella group and the impressive Marmolada glacier (3,342 m). The small Avisio river meanders through the valley where three languages are spoken (German, Italian, Ladin) and passes many famous resorts. With nearly 220 km of piste and 85 lifts, it is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomiti-Superski area and furthermore offers a connection to the world-renowned Sella Ronda. Val di Fassa, where tourism is the biggest source of income, offers its guests, alongside a first class ski area, plenty to see and do such as diverse leisure activities encompassing sport and relaxation, tradition and culture, hospitality and obviously the great Trentino cuisine. This is one of the most significant winter sports centres in Val di Fassa, looming at an altitude of 1,448 m. The picturesque resort of Campitello is dominated by the majestic Sassolungo (3,184 m) and Col Rodella (2,485 m). Campitello offers a direct connection to the Sella Ronda's ski area where you'll definitely have fun. As this idyllic resort enjoys many days of good weather, you can relax in the sun and marvel at the wonderful nature after your time on the piste. Every year at wintertime a traditional masked parade takes place in Campitello, which is highly recommended to every holidaymaker.
