Val di Fassa is located in the southwest part of the Dolomites in Trentino and borders on to South Tyrol. The idyllic valley is dominated by some of the most famous Dolomite peaks, such as the Catinaccio group (2,983 m), the Langkofel (3.181 m), the mighty Sella group and the impressive Marmolada glacier (3,342 m). The small Avisio river meanders through the valley where three languages are spoken (German, Italian, Ladin) and passes many famous resorts. With nearly 220 km of piste and 85 lifts, it is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomiti-Superski area and furthermore offers a connection to the world-renowned Sella Ronda. Val di Fassa, where tourism is the biggest source of income, offers its guests, alongside a first class ski area, plenty to see and do such as diverse leisure activities encompassing sport and relaxation, tradition and culture, hospitality and obviously the great Trentino cuisine. Pozza di Fassa (1,320 m) lies at the foot of the Rosengarten (2,983 m) in the centre of Val di Fassa, and attracts guests with its typical Mediterranean flair. Thanks to its central location, the resort is a great starting point from which to explore the area's landscape. Pozza is a bit of a quieter resort, perfect for families. Culture buffs will find a Ladin museum and a historical museum, and the natural ice rink invites guests to skate in front of the surrounding mountains' impressive landscape. In the "Terme Dolomia" thermal springs, visitors can relax mind and body after an eventful day.
