Val di Fiemme is an important linchpin for Italian winter sports. It lies nestled between the Dolomite peaks of the Lagorai Chain, Latemar Massif and Pala Massif. The valley, with its cosy resorts, is characterised by its hospitality and, above all, by the enormous selection of sports opportunities. Numerous sports events take place here each year, such as the FIS cross-country run "Marcialonga". The region has twice been host to the Nordic ski world championships. The resort of Bellamonte is scenically located on a plateau, which is surrounded by the Pale di San Martino group and the Lagorai mountain ranges. The ski areas Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia and Latemar, as well as the numerous cross-country trails are easily accessed. In the evening, you have the opportunity to taste the regional specialities in one of the restaurants or you can party into the wee hours in the many pubs and après ski bars. Alternatively, the other resorts in Val di Fiemme are worth a visit too. Here you will find indoor pools, tennis courts, an ice stadium and outdoor ice rinks.
