The tourist tax is communal fee, which is levied per day in many resorts. There is no fixed amount for this tax, but it can vary in every resort.
In some cases we charge the tourist tax together with the accommodation price and forward it to the resort, in other cases the tax has to be balanced in resort.
Lift Pass Extension & Upgrade
All holidays - unless otherwise stated - include a 6 days lift pass, valid from the day after arrival until the day before departure. The lift pass can be extended until the day of departure during the booking process. Those wishing to have an extra day's skiing on the day of arrival can purchase a half-day or day ticket at the lift office in resort.
In some resorts it is possible to upgrade to a "large" lift pass, so that you can make use of the other ski areas that are included in the lift pass union.
In many resorts the lift pass is issued as a keycard (electronic lift pass). For this a slight fee applies, which generally is reimbursed when the card is returned to the lift office at the end of the holiday.
If you don't desire the lift pass, then you can deselect it during the booking process. Your holiday price will be reduced by the value of the lift pass. In some resorts the de-selection of the lift pass is not possible.

The exact address of your accommodation as well as further useful information for your arrival in resort will be sent to you approx. 10 days before you depart for your holiday, together with your travel documents.

Ski & Snowboard Lessons
In many of our resorts we offer ski and snowboard lessons, which are held by the local ski schools. Besides the official language of the country, generally English is also spoken. The lessons can last between 2 and 20 hours in total, extended over 1 to 6 days and can take place either in the mornings or the afternoons in groups of 4 to 12 people. To ensure that you still have enough opportunity to try out what you have learnt, the lessons mostly take place at the beginning of the week. We can't guarantee that children's lessons - provided these were bookable during the booking process - take place at the same time as the adult's lessons. As soon as smaller children take part in lessons, a lift pass might have to be paid for locally.
If we don't offer any lessons or you can't the find the right lesson to suit your needs during the booking process, you can reserve the course you are looking for in resort directly with the ski school. For all other resorts, ski lessons can be booked online. This also applies for ski kindergarten.

The equipment hire is valid from the day after arrival until the day of departure. Please note that there is no ski or snowboard helmet included in the price of the complete set. In Italy and Austria helmet are obligatory for children. We generally recommend to wear a helmet on the piste. These can mostly be rented in resort directly from the ski hire shops.

How do I make a claim on my insurance if my holiday has to be cancelled for an insured reason?
After the lead passenger has informed us of the cancellation of someone in his or her party, we will issue a new Booking Confirmation (Cancellation Confirmation) including an invoice for the cancellation fees that have arisen. The cancellation fees must be paid to the tour operator. If the individual has purchased cancellation insurance and is cancelling the holiday due to an insured reason (see policy for details), the individual must contact the insurance provider, stating the number on insurance certificate, to be reimbursed the cancellation fees. The number on the insurance certificate is identical to the Booking Confirmation number. You will find the contact details for the insurance provider on the insurance certificate. The insurance will notify you as to which documents are necessary (i.e. Cancellation Confirmation, medical report) to receive your reimbursement. Please note that a claim must be filed.

Babies (up to and including 24 months at the start of the holiday) are insured along with their parents, provided they have been registered with TravelTrex and are listed on the booking confirmation.
The insurance can still be added to the booking up to 30 days before the start of the holiday. If the holiday has been booked within 30 days or less before the day of travel, then the insurance can only be added to the booking on the day of the reservation or the next working day.
