Ski Area Sierra Nevada
The "Sierra Nevada" lift pass ensures on-piste fun with 102 km of piste which are accessible with 29 lifts. The sun-spoiled and most southern ski area in Europe is situated above the world-famous Andalusian town of Granada and is towered over by the highest mountain in mainland Spain, the Mulhacén (3,481 m). You can really go full swing on the slopes of Mount Veleta (3,398 m). Due to its location at between 2,100 - 3,320 m altitude, there is a great snow guarantee from December through to April. In times of little snow, numerous snow canons help out. With mainly easy to intermediate level pistes, the ski area is particularly suitable for wallowers, including of course ski fans from the south of Spain. There are carving runs of moderate difficulty and freeride opportunities for deep powder snow lovers in the Laguna de las Yeguas mountain basin. You'll find the easiest pistes on the Loma de Dílar plateau. From here you can also show off your skills on the 1996 world championship's black pistes. These lead back to the Pradollano ski resort, where diverse après-ski opportunities await you.
