The “Schanfigg” is a 20 km long valley and is located in the canton Graubünden. Quite special is the encounter among various languages and cultures, which the Walser brought into the originally Rhaeto-Romanic area. The most famous resort in the valley is Arosa, which is especially popular as a winter sports and spa resort. In winter, the ski and hiking paradise offers 70 kilometres of piste and 60 kilometres of hiking trails to all mountain lodges in the area. Cross-country fans can enjoy 30 kilometres of track.
