How does one best travel to Switzerland? Among the nearest airports are Zurich, Basel, Sion, and Bern. Depending on the destination, Friedrichshafen, Milan, or Innsbruck are also feasible. Those travelling by car will find a route planner to the left at the bottom of the map. Simply enter your starting location and a route will be calculated. Important: please inform yourself beforehand about winter closings of specific mountain passes. Also be sure that your car is winter-proofed and equipped with snow chains.
