St. Lambrecht

For about the last 950 years, life in an around St. Lambrecht has been shaped by the monks of the Benedictine monastery, one of the most important monasteries through the entire country. Murau-Kreischberg

The region Murau-Kreischberg is part of the Mur Valley and is located in the federal state of Styria, not far from the border to Carinthia. The valley is surrounded by the mountain massifs of the Niedere Tauern and the Nock Mountains. Romantic towns and villages in the valley and loads of winter fun on 42 km of piste, at altitudes up to 2,118 m, await you here. Medieval buildings and the castle of Murau give this region a very special character. Especially families with children will feel welcome here, thanks to the mostly easy to intermediate pistes.

The Kreischberg was further the venue to the Snowboard World Championships in 2003, as well as the FIS Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships in 2015 and hence is known far and wide, even across the borders of Austria.
