Ski holidays Puy Saint Vincent - a modern winter sports resort!

Puy Saint Vincent

Puy St. Vincent lies at approx. 1,400 - 1,800 m in the French Maritime Alps, about 130 km south-east from the famous winter sports resort Grenoble. The resort looks out into the "Vallouise" Valley and offers a fantastic view of the Ecrins-Massiv. The resort is situated directly in the ski area, the lifts offer entry to the very scenically appealing runs. All difficulty levels are offered here, covered with near perfect snow. Also, family-friendliness is very important in this ski resort, and Puy St. Vincent was commended as an international family ski resort in 2003. Since 2007, the resort has been labelled "Family Plus". In addition to numerous athletic activities, guests can also visit various restaurants and be spoiled by various culinary delights.

National Park Les Ecrins

The national park "Les Ecrins" lies in the south-east of France and comprises the Pelvoux massif which also stretches over a part of the Dauphiné Alps. The park extends over a 1,786 square kilometres. The central part of the park comprises 918 square kilometres and falls under special protection. The park is bearer of the "European Diploma for protected areas" and offers a unique habitat for many species of flora and fauna. Hikers and skiers alike will find the highest summit within the diverse landscape of the National Park highly attractive: the Barre des Ecrins (4,102 m), which is also the most southern 4,000 metre peak of the Alps in general.
