SnowTrex season review 2012/2013

Today we are taking a closer look at some of the highlights from the fantastic past winter season 2012/2013. This winter we were able to offer as many accommodations as never before, which lead to unbelievable sales and a an overall company bookings record. Have fun viewing the images!

Poland, Solvakia and Switzerland – new destinations in the SnowTrex programme

Since this past season Poland with ist ski areas in the Giant Mountains and the High Tatras is part of the SnowTrex offers. In Slovakia and in Switzerland we were able to acquire new destinations.

SnowTrex team on tour

Our SnowTrex team has been out testing various ski areas in France and Austria last winter. In France for instance, they went to visit the Maurienne Valley in the Savoie Alps and Alpe d’Huez in the Isère region. In Autria some of our SnowTrex staff went to e.g. Heiligenblut in Carinthia and to the Tyrol region (Ziller Valley and Sölden) to test the pistes.

The new trexpert team

Since December 2012 SnowTrex has 4 winter sports experts to support the in-house team. Rosi Mittermaier and Christian Neureuther give great tips for family ski holidays, whilst Felix Neureuther gives good advice on the most attractive ski areas, being an active ski racing pro. Nicola Thost is snowboard Olympic Champion in the half-pipe and therefore the perfect person to give good tips on where to snowboard.

SnowTrex events: Pow(d)er Week and snowboarding with an Olympic Champion

A special highlight at the beginning of last season was the annual Pow(d)er Week in Les 2 Alpes, which celebrated it’s 10th birthday this time round. Besides lots of fun on the piste there was also an open air party and two live concerts with the cover band No Speech included in the programme.

SnowTrex Expert Nicola Thost gave some helpful snowboard advice for powder snow and half-pipe during the events in Leogang and Westendorf. An impressive insight into her skills of course was also part of the event.

SnowTrex office – winter fun in Cologne

Once it starts snowing in Cologne, no one can be held on their seats – lunch break is reserved for snowball fights … 🙂
