What is the Matterhorn Ski Safari?<\/h2>\n

The Matterhorn Ski Safari is a premier skiing experience: in just one day, you can explore over 10,000 meters of altitude! Each lift and gondola need not used more than once. You\u2019ll receive technical support via the Ski Safari feature in the Skiguide Zermatt app.<\/p>\n

The route starts on the perfectly groomed slopes of Rothorn. Skiers can choose between the \u201cSilver\u201d or \u201cGold\u201d safari. Both routes pass through Riffelberg, the Theodul Glacier (Trockener Steg), and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise ski area. The \u201cGold\u201d route continues onto the Italian slopes in Breuil-Cervinia and Testa Grigia. In the evening, both routes lead back to Zermatt via Stafelalp. The “Silver” Route: The Matterhorn Ski Safari 10,500<\/h2>\n

On the Matterhorn Ski Safari 10,500, safari skiers explore the Rothorn area, the Gornergrat and the Matterhorn glacier paradise ski area. As the name suggests, you cover around 10,500 metres in altitude. In addition to your own skis, a total of 24 cable cars and lifts transport you to the next section of piste on this route – none of these lifts are used twice. The “Gold” Route: The Matterhorn Ski Safari 12,500<\/h2>\n

The supreme discipline of the Matterhorn Ski Safari is the “Gold” route: the Matterhorn Ski Safari 12,500. Going above and beyond the “Silver” route, here you cover an additional 2,000 metres in altitude.
