Ski mascots come in all shapes and colours. These lively stuffed animals, always looking cheerful, are not only a distinguishing feature of the holiday regions, but also a symbol of child-friendliness in the ski area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ski mascots as a sign of child-friendliness<\/h2>\n

Almost every ski area has a ski mascot. The figures have established themselves as a hallmark of child-friendliness and as educational supporters in ski schools, where they help the little ones to ski. There are no limits to the creativity of the ski schools and tourism associations in shaping these characters. Sometimes they are cute, but sometimes they can also be odd figures that walk around the children’s area, greeting the kids. Animals near the Alps, like ibexes and cows, or snow animals like penguins are still close at hand. Dragons, elephants and monsters are more unusual. Even the mountains themselves become a cheerfully smiling figure.<\/p>\n

FUNty from the Zillertal Arena<\/h2>\n

A large, yellow elephant with a top hat is one of the first things you will encounter in connection with the Zillertal Arena<\/a>. He can already be found on the website of the Ski Association promoting the all-inclusive motto: tons of fun. His name is also very fitting: FUNty, who can also be found in the children’s areas of the four connected ski areas Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Wald-K\u00f6nigsleiten and Krimml.<\/p>\n

The BIG Family from the Stubai Glacier<\/h2>\n

The monsters are on the loose at the BIG Family Ski Camp on the Stubai Glacier<\/a>. The entire children\u2019s area, including the ski school\u2019s learning zone, is themed around these mythical creatures, creating a particularly colourful world. The mascots here are Zottel, Bommel and Wollie.<\/p>\n

Berta and Murmli from Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis<\/h2>\n

The children’s paradise of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis<\/a> in Tyrol also has two mascots to offer. They are adapted to the local animal populations in and around the villages. In Serfaus, for example, the mascot Murmli is a marmot, which runs thematically through all the children’s attractions – right up to the marmot enclosure with real rodents. The funny mountain cow Berta laughs for the children in Fiss-Ladis. Here they are at work:<\/p>\n
