Les 7 Laux (1,350 – 2,400 m), with its three resorts Prapoutel, Le Pleynet and Pipay, is nestled in the mountain ridges of Isère. The idyllic mountainous scenery is dominated by the impressive panorama of the Chartreuse and Belledonne massifs. Those looking to combine calm, relaxation and challenging descents is at the right place here. As Les 7 Laux is renowned amongst French guests for being more of a weekend ski area, you can ski the whole ski area in relative peace during the week. No waiting around for lifts and no overcrowded pistes! The ski area is, furthermore well-known for its grandiose descents and boarders will also get their money’s worth in the snow park, which has a half-pipe and boarder cross. Les 7 Laux – snow and sun!
Les 7 Laux („The Seven Lakes“) is composed of the three resorts Le Pleynet, Pipay and Prapoutel. The wonderful mountain scenery around the seven glacier lakes is situated approx. an hour away by car from Chambéry and Grenoble and is therefore popular with both holiday makers and French locals. In addition to great descents, the resorts offer leisure activities such as riding snow scooters, paragliding, tennis, tobogganing and 12 kilometres of classic cross-country ski trails. In the evening you can go to the cinema, restaurants, bars and disco. The accommodations are located in Prapoutel (1,350 m), which is the largest resort and is located on the south-western slope.

The cross-country trail network around Les 7 Laux is small, but fine! Near Prapoutel you can take advantage of 12 km that are easily reached with the chair lift from Le Pleynet. A further 12 km run round Le Pleynet. For both cross-country ski areas there is a fee of approx. €6.10 for the chair lift. The "Pré de l’Arc" near Prapoutel is the longest track in the area at 6 km, but is also quite suitable for less experienced skiers. Le Pleynet also offers a 1.5 km long high-altitude trail at 1,850 m, which is also suitable for beginners. Due to the high altitude, the trails are very snow-sure through to spring, and also let you enjoy excellent views of the Arguille slopes. Near Le Pleynet, you also have the possibility to connect to the "Espace Nordique du Grand Domaine", with the 30 km long Barioz circuit. |
