Location

The family-friendly 4-star Kurhotel Österreichischer Hof hotel is situated directly in the centre of Bad Hofgastein. You can access the ski area by taking the gondola lift about 800 m away or the Schlossalmbahn I gondola lift. The thermal spa Alpentherme Gastein also offers a special wellness experience and is situated approx. 220 m away. Cross-country skiing trails can be reached within about 200 m. Ski buses stop within about 50 m. The next public transport stop is just outside the door. Nearby shopping opportunities are just outside the door.

Facilities

This comfortable hotel has an attached building. Our hotel offers various amenities, such as a reception, a lobby, Wi-Fi, a hotel restaurant and a café. Guests can store their ski and snowboarding equipment in a ski storage room. Drivers can use a parking lot - subject to availability.

Spa

The spa area, covering approx. 3,000 m², is shared with the Hotel Norica Therme and, in addition to an indoor thermal pool, features a clothing-worn sauna in the ‘Celtic Familie’ area, as well as the ‘Celtic Spa’ sauna world with Celtic Fin (90°C sauna), Celtic Bio (60°C sauna), Celtic Sole (45°C steam bath with 13% brine), Celtic Infra (infrared cabin) and a shower area with an ice crusher to cool down.

The price also includes daily admission to the Alpentherme Gastein. Spanning approx. 32,000 m², the family and fun area features the 110-metre-long Black Hole rafting slide, a speed slide, the Lazy River current channel, a multimedia experience dome, a TV and video room, and a toddlers’ area.

In the relaxation and wellness spa area, indoor and outdoor thermal pools, activity pools, spring-fed pools, sports pools, air-bubble loungers, water massage walls, air-bubble geysers and spacious rest and relaxation areas for unwinding after a long day of winter sports.

Ladies World boasts an elegant sanarium (for ladies only – steam and Finnish saunas). The spacious sauna village offers five different indoor saunas (infrared, bio and Finnish saunas, Laconium, steam bath), three glass cubes in the outdoor area featuring a loft sauna, tunnel sauna and Finnish sauna, as well as a mountain lake with a water surface area of 100 m², spacious sunbathing areas and relaxation rooms, and a sauna bar open all day.

For a fee, you can enjoy various treatments in the hotel’s Celtic Vital area (treatment rooms, daily 8 am – 8 pm) and in the beauty centre, such as massages, therapeutic baths, therapeutic mud, hay flower wraps, inhalation or Stangerbod. The house also features a health centre with a doctor on site.

Entertainment

Sports facilities and activities at the hotel include a gym and table tennis.

Board

The half board catering plan includes a buffet style breakfast. At dinner, our cooks put together a 4-course menu. A Christmas dinner is held at Christmas (24.12.), on New Year's Eve there is a festive dinner.

Important notes

• When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with extra beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
• This accommodation is not wheelchair-accessible.
• Accommodation is available either in the main house or in one of the two outbuildings.
• Use of the ski lifts in the Gastein Valley is free of charge for children aged 5 or under (at time of departure). If your child uses the lifts independently in other Ski amadé ski areas, a Minicard (lift pass) may need to be purchased on site.
• Family Spring Deals: 13/03/2027 until the end of the season – children born in 2011 or later receive a free multi-day pass valid for 4 days or more (official proof of family relationship required). This offer is subject to at least one parent purchasing a multi-day pass valid for 4 days or more for the same period. If there are more children travelling than adults, or if the promotion conditions are not met, a corresponding lift pass must be purchased on site.
