Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, the varied slopes in the Montafon will delight skiers of all abilities. Advanced and expert skiers in particular will find challenging runs here with panoramic views of the impressive Alpine scenery. The state-of-the-art lift facilities, such as the Panorama cable car from Kapell up to the Grasjoch, guarantee quick ascents without long waiting times. A real highlight is the legendary HochjochTotale: at 12 km long and with a vertical drop of 1,700 m, it is the longest continuous run down to the valley in Vorarlberg.
As well as the wide slopes, the Montafon ski region has another highlight to offer in the form of the Montafon Snow Park. As one of the largest fun parks in Austria, it offers an experience that’s hard to beat. Equipped with rails, boxes, rollers, hips and kickers of all levels of difficulty, even experienced freestylers will find their ideal terrain here. Furthermore, skilled skiers can look forward to many challenging runs, with the freeride runs in the area around the Hochjoch being highly recommended. It’s no surprise that the Freeride World Tour has already visited Hochjoch. A new highlight is Austria’s first freeride cross. The 800-metre-long "Freda Bahn" fun slope, situated right next to the snow park, offers a fantastic mix of steep turns, jumps, a tunnel and natural obstacles, and is an absolute must for the whole family! This makes the Novatal ideal for freeride beginners too, and is the perfect place to have a go at freestyle for the first time.
