Ski area Mölltal Glacier

The lift pass "SkiHit" gives you access to wonderful 186 kilometres of piste incl. ski routes in 9 ski areas in Eastern Tyrol (see ski region).

The cosy village Flattach is located directly at the foot of Mölltal Glacier. Due to its many easy slopes, the glacier ski area with its 17.4 km of piste and 9 lifts is one of the most popular ski areas in Carinthia, especially amongst families. But even if you are a more experienced skier you will find a sportive challenge on the 5 km of difficult pistes at Mölltal Glacier. Especially hard-boiled skiers take on 7 km FIS-slope, which is also Carinthia's highest.

The approx. 300 m long snow park with jumps, rails, half pipe (35 m) and boarder cross lets every boarders' heart beat faster. In good snow conditions, Mölltal Glacier also offers excellent deep powder snow and free ride conditions for all adventure seekers!

The ski area at Ankogel (1,267 - 2,637 m) is not far away either. Especially the broad and empty slopes at the peeks with a beautiful view all the way to Großglockner and Dolomite Mointains as well as the 7 km long valley run to Mallnitz with a 1,349 m difference of altitude are addictive, making the ski area all the more popular. The ski area has a total of 13 km of piste and 6 lifts.

Après ski Flattach

Flattach offers you several bars, pubs and cabins for a snack after a long ski day. At the edge of the Mölltal Glaciers at an altitude of 2,800 m lies the highest located conservatory of Carinthia, the panorama restaurant "Eissee". The gigantic glass-steel construction sort of enthrones over the ice and reflects the alp world from the Schareck over the Sonnblick all the way to the Dolomites in its glass surface. The menu consists of delicious meals, both from the Carinthian and international cuisine. The "Europa Bar" at the middle station of the Mölltal Glacier or the "Hütt'n Wirt" in Flattach are very famous, too. Those who like to be active are recommended the 1.3 km long natural tobogganing run in the local centre Innerfragant with additional camp fire and warm beverages. Besides, winter hiking through the unique countryside of Carinthia is offered by the ski schools. Or how about ice skating or Bavarian curling? Boredom does not come easily in Flattach!

Snowpark: Snowpark Mölltaler Gletscher Flattach

The ski area of the Mölltal Glacier is especially suitable for freestylers. At altitudes of up to 2,640 m you will find snow-covered slopes and diversified descents, which are just waiting to be marked by your tracks. Higher-than-average amounts of sunny hours and the fun park at the glacier below the Schareck piste, attract boarder pros into the ski area and make it a popular meeting point. A mogul piste, banked turns, kickers, and jumps catapult risk lovers into the sky and let them enjoy the fascinating panorama from above.

Not exciting enough? Then you should have a look at the boardercross run and experience a new and exciting adventure together with the pros in the scene. Calling it a "boarders paradise" is definitely not an exaggeration! Freeriders can also get their money's worth on the deep snow descents, as well as other diverse descents away from the marked pistes. For what is better than enjoy the deep snow under a blue, sunny sky?
