Night skiing Golling

Skiing until night-time is also part of the deal in the Dachstein West ski area. On the valley side of Gosau, and thus easily reachable from Golling, there is a small night ski area. Once a week you can still have fun on skis after the official opening hours. Nearby Ötscherlift, a section of approx. 1 km is illuminated for night skiing every Friday. Like this, the bottom part of the valley run is turned into a night ski piste. The red slope is an appropriate challenge even for experienced skiers. The beginner's piste at Brumsiland nearby the Hornspitzbahn lift's valley station also benefits from the floodlights and is also available for night skiing. The extended operation times are valid for both pistes from 18:30 - 20:30. The Hornspitz umbrella bar is a good place to end your day after the night skiing fun.

Après ski Golling

After a great day on the piste in Golling, you have the possibility to take part in various activities or just relax. There are cosy restaurants, guest houses, and cafés, where you can indulge in traditional specialities or international cuisine. Those who would like to continue on after supper, can explore the various bars and the disco.

Furthermore, snow lovers can also enjoy a ride on the nature tobogganing run or go on either a hike or snow shoe hike through the wonderful winter landscape. The more romantic variety is a horse drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered Bluntau valley.

Those interested in history, can learn more about traditional trades - e.g. hand-weaving or Austria's only private paper factory. A visit to close-by Salzburg, the city of Mozart, is definitely worth while, as well as a trip to the "Salzwelten Hallein", where the whole family can gather interesting impressions. Especially the little ones will be thrilled by the amusing underground slides.

Guests who are looking to relax, can visit the "Aqua Salza" oasis in the resort with sauna, beauty, and spa area, as well as an indoor pool with a children's area.

Snowpark: Snowpark Dachstein West Golling

The ski region "Dachstein West" has a total of four different fun parks ready and waiting for every freestyler to get their money's worth!

Those looking for the ultimate risk factor should take a look at the Snowpark Dachstein West: obstacles such as the 7 m long curved box and various medium kickers, a jib box, a pro kicker with 10 m table and a wallride provide the ultimate adrenaline kick. Does all this seems too daring to you? No problem, as the beginner elements allow even newcomers to defy gravity too. Professional shapers guarantee first-class shred sessions. With the free WLAN hotspot, you can also share your new achievements right away.

If you want to practice away from freestyle aces first, you can find three other places to head to in the ski area: the "Ötscher Kids Park" in Gosau, the "youngsters freestyle park" in Annaberg and the "Rookie Park" in Russbach. Small waves, steep turns, jumps, boxes and rails are ideal for practising.
