For all cross-country skiing enthusiasts, the Dachstein West region offers an extensive network of trails – around 223 kilometres of trails leave nothing to be desired. Most of these are located around Abtenau (approx. 60 km). Here you’ll find mainly easy trails, such as the floodlit trail on the Karkogel and the snow-sure high-altitude trail on the Postalm. 22 km of skating trails and a free introductory cross-country skiing course round off the offering.
No less extensive is the network of trails around the ski resort, which boasts over 78 km of trails. These are divided into 45 km in Gosau and 32 km in Annaberg-Lungötz in the Lammertal valley.
