Location

The family-friendly 4-star Familienhotel Oberkarteis is situated in the Karteis district, approximately 10.5 km from the centre of Großarl. The centre of Hüttschlag is approximately 2.7 km away. Access to the ski area is via the “Panoramabahn Großarltal” cable car, which is around 11.3 km away. Ski buses stop right outside the hotel.

Facilities

This comfortable accommodation comprises a main building and an annexe. The hotel’s facilities include a reception, a lobby with seating, Wi-Fi, a lounge, a common room, a lift, a breakfast room, the hotel’s own restaurant, a cosy parlour and a hotel bar. You can store your winter sports equipment in a heated and lockable ski/snowboard storage room with a ski boot dryer. There is on-site parking and a charging station for electric cars (subject to a fee) – subject to availability.

Spa

In the approx. 200 m² spa area (11:00 – 21:30), you will find a Finnish sauna, organic sauna and steam bath. You can also relax in the relaxation room. Inside your accommodation, there is an indoor pool of around 40 m² with a baby pool and slide (07:00 – 21:30). Beauty treatments and massages are available for a fee. Bathrobes and sauna towels are available on site (on loan). Opening hours and validity periods are subject to change.

Children

The children’s play area, covering approximately 250 m², offers age-appropriate entertainment for our younger guests, even in bad weather. Here you’ll find books, games, a craft corner and an indoor football pitch, as well as go-karts and a soft play area. There is also a children’s playground. Six times a week, the hotel offers attentive childcare for children aged 0–17 (Mon–Fri and Sun, 09:00–17:00 and 18:00–20:00, approx. 10 hours per day) - Changes and restrictions to services and validity periods are subject to change; please see information on site. Baby monitors are available for an additional charge; high chairs and cot beds are included (on request/subject to availability). Changing mats and baby baths can also be provided. Changes to opening hours and offer periods are subject to change.

Entertainment

For leisure activities, there is a table football table at the accommodation. In addition, the hotel offers a wide range of sports facilities, including a gym, horse riding and table tennis. During your stay, you can hire skis (for a fee) and sledge – subject to availability.

Board

When booking rooms with the "All Inclusive Light" meal plan, meals include a hot and cold breakfast buffet (07:30–10:00) featuring produce from our own farm. A selection of snacks is available at lunchtime (12:30–13:30). Afternoon meals include a selection of hot and cold dishes, with soup and salad served. In the evening (18:00 – 20:00), you will be served a four-course set menu with a salad buffet, cheese specialities and a dessert buffet. For the little ones, there is a children’s menu for dinner. There is also a station with baby food, such as Hipp jars. Non-alcoholic drinks, such as juices, are included.

• This accommodation is not wheelchair-accessible.
• Meals are served in the main building.
• When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with extra beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
• The use of the lift facilities is free of charge for children aged 5 or under (at time of departure) in Großarl. These children will be issued with a free mini card at the lift ticket office on site. If your child wishes to use the lifts in other Ski amadé ski areas independently, a mini card (lift pass) may need to be purchased on site.
