From Hochfilzen, you can quickly and easily reach the "Buchensteinwand/Pillersee" ski area with approx. 21 kilometres of piste and 9 lift systems. With its manageable size, it is particularly suitable for families with children. The experts can let off steam in the large "Pletzi children's park", for example.
But it's also worth making a detour to the surrounding ski areas: on the Steinplatte and the Winklmoosalm, you will find easy and moderately difficult descents. In St. Johann in Tirol, on the other hand, thanks to the 3.5 km long black Sauregg FIS descent and the freeride areas at Stanglalm and Kröpflalm, more demanding skiers will also get their money's worth.
With the upgrade to the "Super Ski Card" ski pass, you even have the choice of over 2,840 kilometres of piste and 946 lift systems in 23 ski regions!

Snowpark Buchensteinwand (Pillersee) - St. Ulrich am Pillersee/St. Jakob in Haus/Hochfilzen: Stone slab
Freestylers who have never been to Pillerseetal should change that as soon as possible! Because those who want to venture away from the family ski area of Hochfilzen to the risky heights should definitely not miss out on the "Snowpark Steinplatte". After a long wait, the pros of the scene and especially those who want to become pros can now be found here again. Over a length of 740 metres, there are three different areas to suit every level of rider.
Are you just starting out? No problem, because the beginner lines will introduce you perfectly to the new challenge. A dancefloor, an elephant, wax and flat/down butterbox as well as a mushroom jib and other obstacles allow you to take your first freestyle steps and are guaranteed to help you decline quickly.
This sounds too boring for you? Then you're probably better off in the medium and advanced areas! From the 3 m wallride spine and the 6 m long picnic kicker to various boxes and the massive kickers with 7 - 11 m jumps, every wish will be fulfilled and you will be invited to put the finishing touches to your moves.
