The 8.4 km long Kelchsau cross-country ski trail runs through a fairytale-like winter landscape and has both classic cross-country ski trails and skating trails, overcoming an elevation change of approx. 200 metres.
Around the Wilder Kaiser there are about 157 km of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails, which meet every demand due to their varied routes. The extensive network leads through sunny valleys and offers access to the cross-country trails at St. Johann and Kitzbühel. It is not for nothing that the Koasalauf, one of the largest cross-country skiing events in Europe, takes place on the Wilder Kaiser.
In Scheffau, about 25 km away, cross-country skiing enthusiasts can even do their rounds on the 1.2 km long floodlight trail until 21:30 every day.
