Ski region Kärntner Skipass

Austria's most southern federal state is known well in the skiing scene: ski areas, such as the resort Heiligenblut, with the impressive terrain at the Großglockner, Bad Kleinkirchheim, the resort with thermal baths and wonderful pistes, and also the Skiarena Nassfeld-Hermagor are all ranked highly within Austria's winter tourism sphere. The extent of the ski areas as well as the diversity of things on offer means it can keep pace with the ski regions in the Salzburger Land or even with Tyrol. Thanks to the Tauern motorway, accessibility is also not a problem. Winter sports enthusiasts can profit from cross-border skiing in the Nock Mountains: the "Kärntner Skipass" lift pass provides 876 km of piste in 31 ski areas, 24 of which are located in Carinthia and 7 in Eastern Tyrol.
