Cross-country Leogang
Information on cross-country skiing
260 km Cross-country trails (in km):
Saalbach Hinterglemm itself has two attractive routes: a high altitude cross-country ski trail around 2 km long at around 1,100 to 1.400 metres above sea level, which can be reached with the Reiterkogelbahn cable car, as well as the 10 km long trail at the end of the valley, which leads to the Lindlingalm - ideal for connoisseurs in a peaceful winter setting.
The offer is complemented by the extensive cross-country skiing network in Saalfelden Leogang with around 150 kilometres of trails, which offers connections to the neighbouring villages of Maria Alm, Maishofen and Hochfilzen. The floodlit Ritzensee trail is particularly popular for cross-country skiing in the evening. There is another floodlit trail in the district of Bsuch.
A highlight for those with sporting ambitions is the high altitude cross-country ski trail in Grießen, which boasts magnificent panoramic views. In addition, the Saalach cross-country trail runs for 5 km directly along the Saalach river - perfect for relaxing laps.
The cross-country trail offer is rounded off by a further 20 kilometres of trails around Fieberbrunn. All in all, the region offers a varied and high-quality cross-country skiing experience for beginners, advanced and professionals - classic-style as well as skating-style.
