Ski holidays Lofer - purely indulgent ski holiday!

Lofer

The family-friendly winter sports destination Lofer is located in the middle of the Salzburger Saalachtal, at an altitude of 626 m and in front of a breathtaking backdrop of the Lofer Steinberge. The tower of the Maria Krichental pilgrimage church can be seen from far away, and is among the most important pilgrimage churches in Salzburger Land. The Loferer Alm lift valley station is easy to reach from all village districts, and the "Kaserasi-Truck" even runs to the gondola from several hotels.
The village with its angled lanes and lovely squares is ideal for all those seeking rest, relaxation and indulgence. The almost traffic free centre is perfectly suited for an enjoyable day off-piste. Anyone wanting to do a trip to Salzburg can use the easy connection with the post bus.

The compact family ski resort Almenwelt Lofer is accessible with the ski pass of the same name and boasts 46 kilometres of slopes, most of which are easy to moderately difficult, and wide, flat alpine pastures. The area is particularly suitable for leisure skiers and beginners. In addition, the safety of young winter sports enthusiasts is a top priority here. Selected lifts are designed to be particularly safe for children. This allows the whole family to enjoy a stress-free skiing holiday.

Salzburger Saalach Valley

In front of the breathtaking panorama of the Loferer Steinberge mountains with the highest point of the Ochsenhorn (2,511 m) lie the cosy villages of Lofer and Unken. Nestled in the Saalachtal, the villages became popular winter sports destinations due to the close proximity of the Loferer Alm and Unken-Heutal ski areas. The region offers a magnificent mountain panorama as well as a diverse range of recreational activities with sports or culture. Families with children will especially love not only the gentle pistes, but also the resort's family friendliness. Cross-country trails and the network of winter hiking trails also invite you to savour the panorama.
