Cross-country Mariapfarr

There is no cross-country skiing directly on the Fanningberg. The Mariapfarr-Lignitztal cross-country skiing centre is part of the Salzburg Lungau cross-country skiing network, which offers around 150 km of cross-country skiing and skating trails. Of these, around 6 km are groomed in Mariapfarr, which can be technically snow-covered. The trail in the Lignitztal cross-country skiing centre is the only snow-covered high altitude cross-country ski trail in Lungau and is suitable for effective altitude training at altitudes of 1,330 m to 1,400 m. Classic-style running and skating-style are possible here. The circuit is located in the district of Lignitz and also offers a connection to the panorama trail. A section of around 800 metres is floodlit daily until 9 pm. A free shuttle bus takes guests to the start of the cross-country ski trail.

If you've always wanted to try your hand at biathlon, you can take part in the laser biathlon for everyone in Mariapfarr. Shooting training is offered several times a week at the cross-country centre.
