Location

The comfortable 4-star hotel Genuss- und Aktivhotel Sonnenburg is approx. 2.3 km from the centre of Riezlern in the Schwende district. Access to the ski area is possible via the "Kanzelwandbahn" lift, which is about 2.7 km away. You can enjoy sporting activities on the toboggan run approx. 7.5 km from the hotel. Ski buses stop approx. 100 metres away. Oberstdorf railway station is around 10 km away.

Facilities

The hotel facilities include a reception, Wi-Fi, lounge, lift, breakfast room, hotel restaurant and hotel bar. You can store your winter sports equipment in the ski cellar. On site there are parking spaces, a parking garage and a charging station for electric vehicles (for a fee) - subject to availability.

Spa

The spa area invites you to relax. Here you will also find a sauna, Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath and Kneipp basin complex. The heated infinity pool offers a special bathing experience. Massages are available for a fee. A bathrobe and sauna towels are available on site (for hire).

Board

Board when booking Rooms with half board includes a welcome drink, a rich breakfast buffet and a 4-course menu with salad and starter buffet in the evening. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and only breakfast is served. In return, you will receive 1 x coffee and cake or 1 x Kaiserschmarren once per stay in the afternoon (except Wednesdays). Special dietary cuisine, lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan alternatives are also available on request. The hotel's award-winning Kitchen places particular emphasis on seasonality and regionality. in 2024, the restaurant received an à la carte award for one of the best restaurants in Austria as well as a new Falstatt award with 86 points.
