Après ski Spittal an der Drau

If letting yourself be spoiled with regional and international delicacies in one of the cosy restaurants or Carinthian guest rooms is not enough for you, you will find various opportunities to go out in Spittal in the evening. Popular meeting places are B2, Finnegans, the Icekalt, the Nicky's Irish pub, which also has a skittley alley, or at Upstairs.

There are also plenty possibilities to spend a more active afternoon or evening: Millstatt lake is a beautiful backdrop for a winter hike, or your can explore the surrounding nature on snow shoes. Ice skaters and fans of curling will get their money's worth at the Spittal ice sports arena. For romantics, a horse-drawn carriage ride - especially along the lake shore - is a wonderful choice. Alternatively you can take a walk to Porcia Castle which is beautiful castle gardens, where a Christmas village cares for a very special atmosphere during the Advent season.

The cultural offers in Spittal are also well worth seeing. The castle an Spittl, a historic Renaissance building in the city are host for events such as e.g. readings, jazz concerts or cabaret. The castle is always worth a visit, after all it is one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings north of the Alps.
