Cross-country skiing in the Zillertal Arena – a breathtaking experience of nature amidst the fascinating mountain scenery of the Zillertal and Pinzgau. Whether you prefer skating or classic style, there’s something for everyone on the numerous trails in the villages of Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Wald-Königsleiten and Krimml-Hochkrimml. A particular highlight is the high-altitude cross-country trail in Hochkrimml. In a romantic setting at 1,640 metres above sea level, you can set off on your cross-country skis straight from your accommodation and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. In Gerlos, you can even experience the winter landscape at night, as 1.5 km of the Schönachtal trail is floodlit from 17:00 to 22:00.
