Ski area Jedlová

About 14 km south of Rumburk lies the largest ski area of the Lusatian Mountains: the Jedlová ski area. There you'll find one free parking space as well as two lifts, of which can carry up to 1,200 people per hour. From there, a ski bus can take you to the lift. With a total of 2.6 km of piste, four runs are split up into two blue and two red, although the red ones do start off as black in the upper part of the ski area and then turn into red. The pistes lie on the northern side of the mountain, so you'll be met with good snow quality throughout the entire day. Thanks to a partnership with the neighbouring ski area, Horní Podluží, ski lessons are offered for children and adults. Along the lower part of the ski area, a practice area with a children's tow lift can be found. At the peak of the Jedlová, a restaurant with a view can be found, and at the valley station next to the children's area, another ski hut is waiting to be checked out. A classic cross-country trail is also to be found at the Jedová.

About 11 km south of Rumburk is the Horní Podluží ski area. With two tow lifts, you can ride along a ca. 500 m long piste, of which can be illuminated. You'll also find a parking space as well as a refreshment stand. The area is open on the weekends, although when snow conditions allow it, they could be open daily.

Night skiing Rumburk

Night skiing is also possible in Jedlová in the Lusatian mountains. With many guests and a suitable amount of requests the ski areas offers the opportunity to go night skiing. The lifts operation hours are extended until 21:00 and one piste is illuminated for night skiing. The tow lift takes guests up to the start of the intermediate slope that is suitable for young and old. Like this, skiing fun in Rumburk may be extended until the evening on every day. The Jedlová Hora hotel on top of Tannenberg mountain invites you to stay for a drink afterwards.

Après ski Rumburk

As the ski area is not directly in Rumburk, après ski is not celebrated in the traditional style. At the edge of the piste and in the ski huts, you can round off your day rather comfortably on the Jedlová. As an alternative, you could also take in the dreamy nature that can be found all around the Lusatian Mountains as well as in Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland, when plenty of untouched nature offers you the chance to take memorable hikes (with or without snowshoes!) and horseback rides. It is also worth taking a trip to the Dymník, of which offers you a fantastic view of the surroundings around Rumburk.

In the event of bad weather, or if you're looking for something entirely different, you could consider brushing up on your physical fitness by visiting the Rumburk sports centre, where you'll find tennis and squash courts, a bowling alley, ice skating rink, and swimming pool. If you want to take your swimming and sauna experience to the next level, the Trixi Holiday Park, located about 20 km away, is worth the trip with its brine bath, water slide, and sauna.

Once the evening rolls around, various guest houses and restaurants in Rumburk invite you to come in for a meal of hearty Czech food. In the Bohemian kitchen, dumplings of all sorts make up the base of the cuisine, served with juicy roast pork or fish. Later on, a few cosy bars and pubs offer you the choice to come spend some time trying out some famous Czech beers.

Snowpark: Snowpark Rumburk

At Jedlová there is a small snowpark with a few rails and boxes. In good snow conditions, kickers are shaped in a way that beginners can try out their first jumps.
